Grant Elementary

Approximately, 335 students attend Grant Elementary in grades Kindergarten-5th grade.   About 70% of our students qualify for free or reduced lunch and 22%% of our students have an IEP.  Our students and staff are very proud of the positive school culture that exists at Grant.  It is our goal to work together to ensure that our school is a safe and welcoming environment where every child feels supported in their learning.   Grant is home to several special education programs that serve a variety of students with special education needs.  There are times when students will work with staff or teachers other than their assigned teacher in order to meet students individual learning needs.  We have an EXPLORE program which is where our 4th and 5th grade students are combined in classrooms together.  This unique learning environment allows teachers to teach targeted instruction to students and a schedule to provide flexible grouping to accommodate student needs.   Our building schedule is designed to allow for common collaboration time among grade level teachers.   One hundred percent of our certified staff completed the NASOT training and are currently focused on Marzano Elements for their professional growth.
